Arranged Marriage

Now that I am married, with children, I am all for arranged marriages. My father confirmed this weekend that he could not have picked a better person for me to marry than Jamison. I think he was trying to discourage me off of the whole arranged marriage thing. I, on the other hand, took it as a little ego boost - I know what I am doing, did a good job for myself, so I should pick for Grayson and Hope as well! Sounds good to me.

Let me backup and say that when I moved to Conroe many moons ago, we met a wonderful family, the Neagles. They have been a second family to me. Their son, Jackie, and my brother, Jon, have been best friends since they were 3. In fact, the whole family is really close. Nancy is my mom's best friend as well! When I think back over major family events, the Neagles have always been a part of it. They were there at football games, soccer games, Christmas, vacations (I think we have hit 10 cruises with them), weddings, births (Nancy was there for both Grayson and Hope), and the list goes on. Of course they would be the perfect family for Grayson to marry into.

It just so happens that Jackie and his awesome wife, Brooke have 2 little girls, Ally and Addy. Addy happens to be 3 months younger than Grayson. In fact, I helped give her baby shower. Grayson and Addy have been around each other before, but at Justin's graduation this weekend, they really hit it off. Grayson even gave up sitting by his Mimi at dinner to sit by Addy. He then invited her over to Mimi's house to play! Music to my ears. All he could talk about was Addy!
