Michaela Joy joined the Smith clan this morning at 6:25 am ON her actual due date!
She weighed 7 lbs 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Grayson was so sweet and kept saying, "I'm your big brother."
Hope called her, "Mikeya."
As I posted previously, meanings of names are a BIG deal to me. We chose Michaela as it is the feminine version of Michael and means, "Who is Like the Lord?" That is exactly what the Lord has shown me all through this pregnancy! I also love that Michael is a family name. Joy is obvious.
The Scripture the Lord gave me early on was, "The Lord has done great things for me and we are filled with joy." Her name encompasses both of those!

ReplyDeleteAnd that verse is one of my favorites...I think about it almost every day and reflect on all the blessings God has given me. And I never knew the meaning of Michael's name...so thanks for writing about that!
