I can always remember their anniversary, because it happens to be the date of Jamison and I's first "non-date." You must be wondering did we have a date before I scampered off to the wedding or did I miss the cake cutting to make a date with J? Should I let you wonder or should I just tell you that yes, we were crazy enough to venture out together to a family wedding for our first "non-date." When Jamison agreed to go with me to the wedding, he made it very clear to me that it was not a date, but now we agree that it was the beginning of point of us spending literally every day together. Our first official date was to come about 10 days later, but the wedding makes a much better story. It was even complete with a family vote the next morning at Brunch....sweet and low he stays, equal he goes. Of course, Jamison was not around for this part of the festivities, but it sure was fun to tell him about it later on. Obviously the family did not vote him off the island as 8.5 months later we were married.

So, what was your first date?
We met on a blind date!! :) crazy!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! I totally remember that period of craziness. "Jen and Jamison? What?!!!!" and then "Of course! They're a perfect fit!"
ReplyDeleteFirst date: Very secretly, so we thought, at La Mad before BSF. Had to love it when GK and KH showed up!
AMC :)
It was TCBY yogurt under the supervision of my college suite-mate. She made quite the chaperone!
ReplyDeleteI think Chris & I had several "non-dates" before I finally told him I had to stop spending so much time with him so I could find someone I could date! Our first official date was about 2 weeks after that conversation. He took me out to a really nice dinner at The Palm. I think we both knew that very night that something serious was going on! Next week we celebrate our 2nd anniversary, and our son will be one month old. God is good!
