Monkey See, Monkey Do!

Monkey See, Monkey Do. That's little man's new motto these days. He spent the weekend with Mimi and Pops so J and I could escape to San Fran for the weekend. Actually, J had a business trip and I used it as an excuse to get out of town for a bit. Thanks mom and dad for keeping Grayson.
At 21 months, he is entering the monkey see, monkey do stage. Some days it really scares me as I watch him make my faces right back at me, especially at inappropriate moments, like when he is getting in trouble or when I am trying not to get killed on I-10 and a little voice from behind says, "I see you." I have to fight myself not to laugh. During his stay at Mimi and Pops, he got to watch his favorite movie Cars over and over and over again. I didn't even bother to ask how many times. I believe I heard twice in its entirety in one day, not to mention all the partial times it was turned on. But, that's what grandparents are for, right? This picture was taken one evening when my dad pulled up a pillow to watch the movie with him. Aren't they adorable?

  1. Love that they look nearly identical, right down to the green stripes and tummies exposed! Classic!
