At dinner the other night, Grayson announced, "Grayson's a mess." I might note that it is the only time I have heard him say his own name. He quickly followed that statement with, "Daddy's a mess," to which I cracked up, only to hear him say, "Mommy's a mess." Now, every time he spills something he'll declare it a mess or messy. I love it. Perhaps he will get one of my clean genes! Greater than that is my hope and prayer that someday he will understand the spiritual reality of the statement that he is a mess; in fact, he is dead in his transgressions and without believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as His Savior he will stay a mess and eternally separated from God. That's a mess that I will explain time and time again to him as I can't bear the thought of my children being eternally separated from the Lord. As Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by me."
