Bad mommy over here forgot to take a picture of Grayson's first day of Mother's Day Out. I'm sure he will be scarred for life.
Overall, Grayson did great. He walked up and told the teacher, "I'm a dragonfly." Yes, he knows he's a human, the class is the dragonfly class. He then gave me a "you traitor" look before I broke down. Fast forward 3 years - kindergarten dropoff is going to be horrible.
I picked up a grimy, but very happy little boy who wanted to carry his own stuff out. That made me tear up as it made him seem older. The teacher asked me, "does he nap?" Ha! He does at 2, but bot at noon. She said that he kept sitting up saying, "mommy, please come back." Sigh. More tears....and still no pictures. Bad mommy.
Oh my goodness...I'm not going to be ready for that any time soon! Although, Coop does really well at the church nursery, so far.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo funny! I think you are being too hard on yourself about the picture. You are doing good to get him there at all, considering you have a newborn. I was talking to Laurel today and she said how reading your blog really takes her back to the days when Jack was 2 and Gracie was a newborn. Mom and Laurel put Gracie in her bouncy seat and then placed it in the crib to keep her safe from Jack's aggressive loving, and they have a picture of him scaling the walls of the crib to get in there after her! He would not be denied the chance to love on her!!!! You hang in there, Jen C!
