"We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared."
Multiple times a day, the Smith children wade through the swishy swashy grass, through the ice cold river, through the mud, the snow, the forest and into the cave. Grayson can recite the whole thing to you and in fact told Jamison last week that we had swishy swashy grass out back. Perhaps my favorite part of reading the book is Hope when we get to the page with the bear on it. As soon as we turn the page she immediately points her finger to the bear and yells one of the following:
"Bang."
"Bang. Bang. Bang" or
"Pops, bang!"
I think she has been hanging out with my dad a little bit too much recently. She loves to shoot that bear and she's the one that brings the book, climbs up on my lap and says, "again, again, again."
I've got to go get a copy of that book. Chris is actually going bear hunting next summer! Coop will know it well!
