Most people have a life verse, I have a life word and that word is "Wait." Wait. wait. wait. wait and wait some more. Wait for a job. Wait for a husband which also meant wait for kids. Wait for another job. Wait to move to Katy. Wait. Wait. Wait....I guess I must be really slow to learn. So, we got a new job, took off running, put our house on the market, got an offer, agreed to an offer and and we got the infamous word, "wait." What? Wait. It's not time for the move yet. What? Wait. I prayed a bit more and got more confirmation that the Lord was indeed saying wait. Hmmmm....not sure what all of this means, but here's what I can tell you. We didn't sign the contract. We took our sign out of the yard. We took the house off MLS. Our Realtor picked up the key, shook his head and now we are going to pray and wait some more. For now J will commute from Katy to Baytown and we will assess again in a few months when we will move closer to his job.
Since I opened my big mouth and said, "we're moving," I also get to be the one to say, "oops, not yet. My mouth got ahead of me and my planning got delayed." I promise we are really not flaky people.
Interesting, to say the least! Know that we are praying with you through the waiting...again. :) Glad you'll be nearby for a while longer though. Remember that we're close by if you ever need a hand.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Mother's Day to you, too!
