Michaela is half crawling, half scooting. It doesn't matter, she gets where she wants to go. I saw her scoot over and take something from Hope and then Grayson yesterday. She is not going to put up with either one of them.
However, her favorite thing to do is grab your hands, stand up and walk. No, not on her own, but holding on to someone. She did let go and stay standing the other day for about 10 seconds. If I were a betting mom, I would say she will be walking by her first birthday.
My favorite thing right now is going in to get her in the morning. She turns width wise in the crib, props her feet up on the bumpers and babbles. When I lean over she puts her arms up with a great big smile. I heard her today start her "ma ma ma" babbling. Here's hoping she says it soon. She does say, "hi," and wave. Her first word though was "bu bu bu" and "da da da" for bubby and daddy. She loves to play when mom says, "ma ma ma" to immediately say, "da da da" and giggle. She may not know exactly what she is doing, but it sure seems like it.
She is precious.
