So, I am on the blog bandwagon. I never thought I would be here and at a later date I'll explain more to where the name for the Smith family blog came from. However, I have been putting this off "until tomorrow" because normally I don't have much to write about, and if I do, rarely is it comical. Now that I have a 17 month old son, there is occasional comic relief in my world.
For the longest time, my mother wanted her grandmother name to be "C.C" for Carol Crockett. Cute? Well, my best friend laughed and said, "Grayson won't be able to say his C's and it will come out T.T." We convinced my mom that she would never want to be known as "T.T." and thus she picked the name "grammy."
Well....the other night I was trying to get my son to talk. OK, more accurately, I was trying to get him to say "Mommy," so in an effort to do this I started with some names that I knew he knew. "Grayson, say da-da." "Da-Da." "Say Pops." "Pops." "Say Grammy." "Mammy" "No, Grammy," and again, out came "Mammy." Now I died laughing as the image that immediately popped to my mind was mammy on gone with the wind poking her head out of the window saying, "It ain't fittin', it just ain't fittin.'"
So, mom, I guess "T.T" wasn't so bad after all.
