Never Say Never

As a new mom, I boldly stated that my child would be a good eater, that he wouldn’t have caffeine, sugar, cookies, cake, you name it until he was at least two, if not later. He would be fed nice, healthy, balanced meals. He would learn to love his fruits and veggies. Year one came and went. I must say I did great (hold for second while I pat myself on the back). Not a drop of formula for my little one. Homemade baby food was all he got. I was a baby food making fool. I was so proud. Now for some photo highlights of year 2; please note the fact that we are only half way through the year.

Cake (9/1/2007 – 1st birthday)

Candy (Halloween 2007 – almost 14 months)

Coke (Nov 2007 – 14.5 mos)

Cupcakes (Jan 2008 – 16 mos)
Picture coming soon

Cones (Feb 2008 – 17 mos)

Oh – did I mention that C in our house also stands for cookies, chicken nuggets (the frozen kind), chic-fil-a, chocolate, chips, cheese, cake and crescent rolls.

Now a word from Grayson’s Favorite Sponsor:

"C" is for Cookie that's good enough for me, "C" is for cookie that's good enough for me, "C" is for cookie that's good enough for me, Oh! cookie, cookie, cookie starts with "C"! So...Cookie Cookie Cookie Starts with "C" Cookie Cookie Cookie Starts with "C"

  1. So funny! I was that way with TV. "No TV under the age of 2." At 9 mos we turned on a Baby Eistein so he'd sit still for breathing treatments and now he "loves" Sesame Street, Backyardigans, Little Eisteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...Andrew hasn't reached 2 either.

  4. It's funny because I was like that with Taylor...just wait until your second one comes around. Nathan sees Taylor eating all that "good" stuff and I just let him! It gets worse with each kid!

  5. I truly think cookies have some kind of nutritional/comfort value. Sing it, Cookie Monster!

  6. Lol! I can't even think that far ahead! You'll have to help me at least try to do as good as you did for the first year.
