Little Kicks

Pregnancy in my world is fairly uneventful. Granted I have only had 1 and am only halfway through with my second one. However, I usually feel great and have nothing of interest to report. Which in my world, boring is good! I am not one for high stress/high drama. With Grayson, my doctor laughed that I had the ideal pregnancy – I gained what I was told to gain, my blood pressure was low, my blood work was normal – I was an easy patient. The only real complaint I had with it was that I was big and pregnant in August and as things would go, I am headed that way again. On the bright side of that is that I looked cute, at least in the beginning of summer, in a bathing suit and I actually enjoyed putting one on. When else in my life will I be expected to let my belly hang out and not worry about sucking it in? Not to mention that everyone at the pool commented on how adorable my belly looked. Now I just need to convince them to say those things when I am in a bathing suit and not pregnant. (Can’t you just hear it – wow, doesn’t that post baby belly really look cute?) However, perhaps my favorite perk of being pregnant is the tiny little feet and hands that push and kick. It’s such a wonderful feeling until the end when there is not enough room for both the baby and all of mommy’s organs. For now, I love it. I love feeling Hope move around, I love feeling her kick, I love knowing that she is alive and well and that the Lord is using my body to perform the miracle of creating life. It is such a joyous and special occasion!

Yes, I, too, love this stage of pregnancy the best - feeling the little one move but not being uncomfortable yet. It's the best!

Oh, and I love the name, Hope Elizabeth - very pretty!
