A Thousand Gifts

I am continually challenged by my friend, Missy. She not only has a witty sense of humor, great outlook on life, but is committed to knowing, following and raising her kids in accordance to God's word. She has a post on her blog today of a challenge she is taking to make a list of 1000 gifts that she has. As it goes in the blogging world, she found it on another blog and now I am passing it along to you. All the details are here.
What a wonderful challenge this is to focus and be thankful on all we do have rather than focusing on what we don't have or what we wish we had.
The very first gift that came to my mind is that I am thankful that I get to stay home with Grayson. While it has required sacrifice on our part from our budget to no longer having a career, I wouldn't change it for the world. When he runs towards me with his arms wide open saying, "Mommy," my heart just melts and I am thankful that I get to spend every precious moment with him.
Join the challenge with us.
