Last night Jamison and I were discussing the fact that my child does not like peanut butter. What 2 year old, minus those with allergies, doesn't like peanut butter? Isn't that like the all time favorite toddler food? Seems un-American to me or un-something. All kids are supposed to make life easy on their mommies by liking PB&J. I'm baffled.
Jamison then reminded me that I can't call my own child un-American without saying that about myself. You see, I don't like apple pie, cherry pie or hot dogs. You know, those good old 4th of July foods. So, since we were finger pointing, I reminded J that he didn't really care for baseball and that is the "American pasttime" - it just doesn't get anymore un-American than that!
I might add though that we are both very AMERICAN in the fact that we believe in exercising our right to vote! I am thankful that I live in a free country where I have that priviledge and I thankful for the many willing men and women that serve this country to give me freedom.
God Bless America - land that I love!
I have one child that won't eat peanut butter, and one that will eat nothing BUT peanut butter!
