It's A...

...Baby! You didn't really fall for that one, did you? I may be a planner to the core, but I am also determined when I make up my mind. From the get go, I made up my mind to let the sex of this baby be a surprise. After all, the whole thing was a surprise to begin with! The doctor that did my ultrasound today was very discreet and didn't even hint to when she was looking at the gender organs. Jamison and I both completely (and thankfully) missed it. So, we are off to August 11th before we find out about this little one.

We did see today 10 tiny fingers and 10 tiny toes, 4 chambers to the heart, 2 sides to the brain, 2 kidneys, a mouth that so far looks to be forming normally (it's still a little early to check for a cleft), a spine and all measurements for down's markers were normal. She said that she didn't see anything at all that were cause for alarm. She does want to see us again in a few weeks to double check the heart, but again nothing there made her suspicious! Not surprising, the baby is measuring a couple of days ahead of schedule. With Grayson and Hope both being in the 95% for height, I can't say that I was surprised by this statement.

Thank you Lord for a healthy child and for being a God of Surprises.
